The Pushkar Fair, or Pushkar ka Mela, is the world's largest camel fair held in the holy town of Pushkar in the state of Rajasthan, India. Competitions such as the "matka phod", "moustache", and "bridal competition" are the main draws for this fair which attracts thousands of tourists.
This image is shot at 6pm on the outskirts of the cattle grounds, just as the sun was setting on the Pushkar Mela. Pushkar Mela is considered to be the largest gathering of Cattle in the world where farmers come to trade them.

This lady has been staying in a house provided by the Bombay Parsi Panchayat [BPP] at Bandra, the house has been in ruins and the BPP refuses to let them carry out repairs. The building is dilapidated and in a rat infested state. This image is shot outside her bedroom.

This Traffic Policeman controls almost 10,000 vehicles everyday at Mahim Causeway in Mumbai.
With 200 cars being registered everyday, traffic congestion in Mumbai is hitting an all time high. As compared to Delhi (Indian Capital) which has 40,000 k.m of roadways, Mumbai has only 19,000. Yet it has the traffic population of Pune, Lucknow and Delhi put together!

Mucchad Paanwala

This man is know as Mucchad [ A man with a Mustache] paanwala.. [ paan = beetle leaf]. The small shop that he owns was started by his father 24 years ago.. and now his son [seen in the picture] sits and handles business.. their trademark being obvious, The Mustache! o also.. this guy owns a website.. www.paan.com.. funny stuff :o)
